Rift Valley Railways Logistics Controller Job in Kenya

Rift Valley Railways, a Transport and Logistics Company is searching for a suitably qualified candidate for the position of Logistics Controller in the Materials Management Department.

We invite candidates who are performance driven, and possess excellent skills with good track record of achievement in past roles to apply.

Purpose of the Role

The Logistics Controller will be responsible for managing availability and flow of materials to ensure support to user departments’ objectives.

He/She will report to the Head of Procurement and Materials Management

Specific Job Responsibilities:

·       Planning, implementing, controlling and optimizing materials flow.

·       Organizing, controlling and optimizing stocks

·       Supervision of staff

·       Improving the process of materials importation

·       Participating in development of systems and inventory management software

·       Preparing the relevant reports

Profile:

·       A university degree and relevant professional qualifications

·       At least 4 years experience as a Manager in Logistics and Transportation Company

·       Must be able to react positively to challenges

·       Must be self motivated

·       Must have ability to initiate implementation process

·       Must have capacity to inspire his/her team

·       Excellent communication skills
