World Concern Development Organization, a Christian relief and development organization, wishes to recruit an experienced Program Manager to manage a new community economic development program in South Sudan.
The Sustainable Economic and Agricultural Recovery (SEAR) Program aims at developing at least three value chains to enhance the economic wellbeing of the residents of the larger Gogrial in Warrap State.

The program has components of economic assets development, market infrastructure development, community managed microfinance, fishery development, and vocational training.

The person will be based in Kuajok, S.Sudan with travel to other locations within the Gogrial East and Gogrial West Counties.

Major Responsibilities:
·       Provide leadership, technical support and direction to the program to ensure the objectives of the project are attained.
·       Coordinate with program, finance, administrative, and logistics staff at all levels to ensure program systems are in compliance with World Concern policies and procedures and donor requirements.
·       Work with other relevant World Concern departments to create, enforce, and maintain systems ensuring effective and transparent use of financial resources and prudent management of World Concern assets.
·       Promote stewardship and accountability, communicate expectations and provide constructive feedback through regular performance reviews.
·       Working closely with the Country Programme Coordinator and the Regional Security Officer to provide regular clear security information to enable the staff make decisions that enhances their personal safety and security.
·       Write and submit timely, informative, high quality and comprehensive reports to WCDO, relevant government authorities and donors using approved standards and formats
·       Ensure documentation and synthesizing of lessons learnt during program implementation, and develop methods of their integration to on-going and future program activities to help the organization become increasingly more effective, efficient and relevant to the communities served.
·       With the Regional Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, develop ME protocols for the project and ensure that observations made from ME exercises are communicated to the staff and the recommendations made are integrated in on-going activities and in future program design and plans.
Qualification, Experience & Skills Required:
·       Relevant social science, business, or international development degree.
·       5 years’ experience managing economic development programs in a relief and development setting. Specifically, experience with saving-led microfinance, development of economic assets and value chain analysis and development is preferred.
·       Demonstrated ability to implement a complex program, manage a range of staff and develop their capacities.
·       Demonstrated ability to work respectfully and constructively with local government officers and other partners.
·       Prior experience living and working in conflict or post conflict zone, a commitment to team safety, and ability to work comfortably in the South Sudan cultural environment.
·       Fluency in written and spoken English required. Arabic language skills preferred.
·       Able to communicate in a manner that is confident and clear, yet diplomatic, enabling him/her to forge positive working relationships with donors and other stakeholders.
