Administration Manager

Job Location: Nairobi

Role Purpose

Reporting to the Director of Finance and Administration the Administration Manager will be responsible for general office administration by ensuring that office facilities are adequately and efficiently utilized to support the activities of Pathfinder International.

The incumbent will be responsible for procurement and fleet management.

S/he will ensure that the administration department operates with adherence to donor requirements and Pathfinder International guidelines.

The role will also be responsible for security and supervise general office administration

Job Requirements
  • Minimum Degree qualification in business administration or related field. An MBA will be an added advantage.
  • Five years experience in a similar position preferably with an INGO
  • Demonstrated past experience managing office administration; logistics; procurement and security
  • Experience with budget preparation and understanding of USAID rules and regulations are essential for this role
  • Strong management and leadership skills with ability to be a team player
  • Good interpersonal skills and highly proficient in IT skills
Outreach Program Specialist

Job Location: Mombasa

Role Purpose

Reporting to the Deputy Project Director for Coast the Outreach Programs Specialist will provide technical leadership and guidance for planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating outreach program activities.

The role will be responsible for the development and implementation of strategies for improving the access of communities to health services, products and information, and improving support of PLHIV and OVCs while liaising with the service delivery team to ensure linkages of community and clinical services.

S/he will work closely with NGOs, CBOs and relevant government ministries and lead the outreach team in preparation of work plans, budgets and progress reports.

Job Requirements
  • Degree qualification in Social sciences/Community Development or its equivalent. Masters in public health will be an added advantage.
  • Over five years demonstrated experience working in design and implementation of community outreach programs and collaborative approach with Government officials and civil society.
  • Ability to build strong relationships, work well as part of a team and facilitate the achievement of results.
  • Excellent analytical skills demonstrated through proven experience in establishing relevant project monitoring systems, assessment design and proposal development.
  • Possess strong management and leadership skills.
  • Knowledgeable/experienced in computer applications, in particular MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet etc.
Data Manager

Location: Mombasa

Role Purpose

Reporting to the Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist the Data Manager will be responsible for strengthening the capacity of district health teams and implementing partners to collect, use, and report programmatic data.

S/he will assist to build capacity of program staff and partners in the areas of data management and data use for program decisions and improvement.

The role will provide technical assistance through mentorship and supervision of the DHMTs, health facilities and implementing partners in the use of data for decision making.

S/he will ensure that data emanating from project partners is accurate, reliable and correlates with data maintained in the project database(s) including the PEPFAR database.

Job Requirements
  • Diploma in medical records, statistics, demography or its equivalent.
  • Minimum three years experience with an international NGO preferably in HIV/AIDS and/or health sector.
  • Ability to proactively identify and address data issues or needs.
  • Experience in setting up databases and statistical analysis of data and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to use and implement GIS.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office, spreadsheets; SPSS; database management
  • Training and capacity building skills.
Project Manager

Kisumu

Role Purpose

The Project Manager Kenya will be responsible on behalf of Pathfinder Kenya for providing strategic leadership and managerial responsibility and oversight in a population, health and environment (PHE) project in the Lake Victoria Basin (LVB) region whose leadership is based in Pathfinder Uganda, Kampala.

The Project Manager will sit in the offices of Osienala, a Kisumu-based NGO, and key project partner.

The key responsibilities comprise FP/RH technical assistance to project sites, integration of PHE concepts in clinic and community-based RH services; preparation of project needs assessments, work plans and reports, management of personnel and budgets, and monitoring and evaluation/ tracking outcomes for on-time delivery.

S/he will work with a multi-disciplinary team and serve as the Country spokesperson on behalf of the Project Director based in, Kampala for the project’s goals, achievements and strengths to key stakeholders.

Job Requirements
  • Masters degree in public health/ international development/social science/environmental health or its equivalent.
  • Over five years demonstrated experience working with FP/RH and/biodiversity conservation/natural resource management programs in a resource challenged setting in Kenya.
  • Strong project management skills including supervision, monitoring, evaluation and program design.
  • Good collaboration and team participation skills.
  • Excellent written (report writing), oral, presentation and interpersonal communication skills and a keen sense of understanding for advocacy to get government support for the project and its sustainability in the future.
  • Knowledgeable/experienced in computer applications, in particular MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet etc.
