FOSA Manager

Job Summary

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the job holder will be in charge of the management of all FOSA Operations and implementing FOSA business strategies for growth and sustainability while meeting customer needs and expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensuring efficient and effective management of FOSA Department.
  • Designing, administering and interpreting FOSA policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring compliance with the relevant statutory and regulatory requirements in execution of FOSA Operations.
  • Preparing departmental budgets and ensuring adequate budgetary controls.
  • Overseeing FOSA operations at branches.
  • Implementing and promoting FOSA related products and services.
Qualifications and Competencies
  • KCSE Grade B.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Business related field, Banking or Finance.
  • AKIB or ACIB qualification will be an added advantage.
  • Previous experience of working with an ERP system preferred
  • At least 5 years’ relevant experience at a managerial level in a banking environment.
  • Proven leadership and management skills.
  • A person of integrity, team player and has effective communication skills
  • Proficiency in computer skills
FOSA Operations Officer I

Job Summary

Reporting to the FOSA Manager, the job holder will be in charge of the coordination and supervision of FOSA operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensuring effective and efficient management of the FOSA operations.
  • Coordinating and supervising FOSA activities and ensuring operations are carried out in accordance with the established rules and regulations.
  • Maintaining timely, accurate and balanced records pertaining to FOSA operations.
  • Maintaining adequate cash reserves in accordance with the FOSA operational procedures.
  • Reviewing systems, processes and procedures of FOSA operations and making appropriate recommendations for improvements to the FOSA Manager.
  • Ensuring that correspondences are promptly and appropriately tackled and that issues pertaining to customer care are competently handled.
Qualifications and Competencies
  • KCSE Grade B-
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Banking or Business related field.
  • AKIB or ACIB qualification will be an added advantage.
  • At least 3 years’ relevant experience at supervisory level in a banking environment.
  • A person of integrity, team player and has effective communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer skills.
Legal Officer I

Job Summary

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the job holder will be in charge of handling legal matters, commercial matters, statutory compliance functions and interpretation of legal
instruments and statutes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participating in formulation and implementation of legal policies and procedures in the Society.
  • Handling correspondences on legal aspects and recommending appropriate legal actions.
  • Ensuring adequate legal protections for the Society property and other interests.
  • Safe custody of Society documents, and securities.
Qualifications and Competencies
  • KCSE B
  • Bachelor’s of Law Degree
  • Advocate of the High Court of Kenya
  • Management Development course
  • Computer literacy
  • At least 4 years’ of relevant work experience
  • A person of integrity with excellent analytical and report writing skills.
  • Strong oral communication skills and ability to multitask, organize and meet deadlines.
  • Must be a team player.
Security Officer II

Job Summary

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the job holder will be responsible for the development and implementation of comprehensive and cost effective security strategies, policies, systems and processes to protect the Sacco’s assets, information and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Formulating, implementing and continuously improving security policy, procedures and systems.
  • Monitoring and reviewing management of Security issues.
  • Providing regular security status reports
  • Providing training on relevant Security protocols and ensuring that Standard Security Procedures are operational.
  • Assisting and coordinating investigations in liaison with external Security agencies.
  • Participating the selection and management of third party Security providers
  • Advising the Society on emerging Security risks and controls to mitigate these risks.
  • Ensuring timely maintenance and repairs of Security equipment and installations.
Qualifications and Competencies
  • KCSE C+
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology from a recognized university.
  • Must have been in disciplined forces having attained at least the rank of an Inspector of Police or equivalent
  • ICT security related security certification will be an added advantage.
  • Additional training and/or certification in security management, fraud investigations, or other related field will be an added advantage
  • A proven track record in fraud investigations.
  • At least 5 years’ security management experience in a reputable organization
  • Be of unquestionable integrity and have excellent analytical and report writing skills.
  • Strong oral communication skills and ability to multitask organize and meet deadlines.
  • Must be a team player.
Branch Manager (Based in Mombasa)

Job Summary

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the job holder will be responsible for the smooth running of the Branch.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administering and interpreting policies and procedures at the Branch level
  • Implementing and promoting Society products and services
  • Monitoring and ensuring the accuracy of all branch transactions.
  • Monitoring requisite cash levels.
  • Ensuring compliance with the relevant statutory and regulatory requirements in execution of branch operations.
  • Ensuring compliance with occupational, safety and health requirements.
Job Qualifications and Competencies
  • KCSE Grade B
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business related field, Banking or Finance.
  • AKIB, ACIB or other relevant professional qualification will be an added advantage.
  • Previous experience of working with an ERP system preferred
  • At least 5 years’ relevant experience at supervisory level in the banking sector.
  • A person of integrity, team player and has effective communication skills and report writing skills.
  • Proficiency in computer skills.
