Branch Credit Officer II

Based in Mombasa)

Job Summary

Reporting functionally to the Credit Manager at the Head Office and administratively to the Branch Manager, the job holder will be responsible for ensuring effectiveness and efficiency of all loan processes and procedures at the Branch.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinating the loan processing activity at the branch.
  • Appraising and advising members on loan eligibility.
  • Advising members on loan approval status.
  • Ensuring completeness of loan application forms and adequacy of information provided.
  • Ensuring compliance of loan procedures with SASRA and other legal requirements.
  • Preparing loans periodical reports for the Branch Manager.
  • Periodically advising on the adequacy of the loan appraisal tools available.
Job Qualifications and Competencies
  • KCSE Grade B-
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Cooperative Business or Business related field.
  • Post graduate Diploma in Micro Finance will be an added advantage
  • Certified Credit Management will be an added advantage
  • Proficiency in computer skills.
  • At least 3 years’ relevant experience at supervisory level, preferably in the financial sector.
  • A person of integrity, team player and has effective communication skills.
Marketing Officer II

Based in Nairobi

Job Summary

Reporting functionally to the Marketing and Business Development Manager at the Head Office and administratively to the Branch Manager, the job holder will be responsible for the management of the sales force, business development and marketing.

Key Responsibilities
  • To conduct marketing activities so as to deliver products and services that satisfy the market segments served by the Society.
  • To design, prepare and disseminate relevant corporate information to members through appropriate media.
  • To design and develop products and services that will satisfy various market segments based on market research findings.
  • To identify market niches and craft appropriate strategies for reaching existing and potential members in the society.
Qualifications and Competencies
  • KCSE B-
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Business related area preferably marketing
  • Post graduate Diploma in Marketing will be an added advantage
  • At least 4 years’ of relevant working experience
  • A person of integrity, team player and has effective communication skills.
ICT Officer IV

Based in Nairobi

Job Summary

Reporting functionally to the ICT Manager at the Head Office and administratively to the Branch Manager, the job holder will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of computer systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Management of all ICT related resources at the branch.
  • Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications
  • Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks;
  • Troubleshooting system, network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults;
  • Routine hardware and software preventive maintenance.
  • Accurately diagnosing and resolving ICT related issues.
  • Troubleshooting network and communication related problems.
Qualifications and Competencies
  • KCSE C+
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
  • CCNA and MCSE Certification will be an added advantage.
  • Working Knowledge of MS Navision Dynamics is essential
  • At least 3 years’ experience in ICT related field.
  • Outstanding professional competence in ICT and willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with focus on teamwork.
  • Thorough knowledge of Computer, Printer and Fax operations.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, good typing speed and data conversion processes.
Customer Relations Assistant III

Based in Mombasa

Job Summary

Reporting to the FOSA Operations Officer, the job holder will be responsible for managing the banking hall and handling customer queries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handling customers correspondences
  • Performing Teller duties as appropriate.
  • Receiving and processing ATM card applications.
  • Effecting customer instructions and responding to queries.
  • Placement of Standing Orders.
  • Receiving and issuing application forms.
Qualifications and Competencies
  • KCSE Grade C+
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Banking or Business related field
  • Diploma in Business Management or Banking will be an added advantage.
  • Previous telling experience will be an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in computer skills.
  • At least 2 years’ relevant experience in a busy office.
  • Customer care handling skills
  • A person of integrity, team player and has effective communication skills.
Teller III

2 Positions

Based in Mombasa

Job Summary

Reporting to FOSA Operations Officer the job holder will be responsible for accurate and prompt payment and receipt of cash and cash related transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Paying and receiving cash and cheques over the counter.
  • Reconciling end of day cash balances against the daily transactions.
  • Processing payments on M-banking services.
  • Attending to customer queries
Qualifications and Competencies
  • KCSE Grade C +
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Banking or Business related
  • Diploma in Banking or Business related studies will be an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in computer skills.
  • At least 2 years’ relevant working experience.
  • High degree of integrity, a team player with effective communication skills.
Administrative Assistant III

Based in Mombasa

Job Summary

Reporting to the Branch Manager the job holder will be responsible for offering professional services to both internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organizing Management and Board meetings.
  • Handling corporate visitors.
  • Managing correspondences at the Branch.
  • In charge of the administrative and secretarial roles for the branch.
  • Managing branch filing system.
  • Ensuring proper housekeeping of branch premises
Qualifications and Competencies
  • KCSE C
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business related field, Secretarial Studies preferred
  • At least 2 years’ relevant experience
  • Must have experience in public relations
  • Good communication skills both written and oral
  • Report writing skills will be mandatory for the position.
