Head of Sales - Wines Industry 
 
Regions: East Africa / Middle East
 
Industry: Beverage / Fine Wines & Spirits 
 
Location: Nairobi
 
Salary: Ksh 600,000 - 800,000  plus incentives

Our client is one of the largest independent wine and spirit producers and distributors. 

They seek to hire a High Level Sales Manager for the East Africa & Middle East region.

The region includes, but not limited to Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, Somalia, Rwanda, Burundi, S. Sudan, Djibouti, UAE, Oman, Bahrain and Qatar.
Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Manage and develop the clients wine & spirits brands in the above mentioned markets
  • Develop annual strategic plans for the company in each territory and ensure its successful implementation (sales and marketing)
  • Open up distributors in the various regions
  • Achieve budgeted sales, volumes and margins
  • Manage and develop key Account relationships
  • Explore new business opportunities
  • Manage the Sales & Marketing budget allocated to these markets
  • Frequently travel to the said destinations
  • Driving sustainable sales growth in different market segments
  • Marketing the company portfolio of products (Fine Wines from South Africa)
  • Penetrate the market through selected industry events i.e. wine tastings, Galas, & Expos
  • Maintain thorough, up-to-date knowledge of all products, pricing and local competition
  • Responsible for opening new markets in the designated regions
  • Increasing our brand presence by developing and nurturing strong community relations
Qualifications & Skills
  • University / college degree ideally in business, marketing or economics
  • 5 to 7 years professional experience in sales and marketing, in the drinks industry or FMCG environment
  • Good negotiation skills and ability to provide strategic insights
  • Experience in managing marketing budgets / sales targets
  • Ability to work independently, without direct supervision
  • Availability to travel frequently (100 days per year)
  • Good presentation skills, polished Sales Person
