a Christian religious institution seeking to recruit pro-active and self-driven individual to fill the position of Facilities Manager reporting to Head of Facilities
 
Job Purpose: Coordinate and oversee the optimal, safe, secure, and environmentally-sound operations and maintenance of institution’s physical infrastructure assets in a cost effective manner aimed at;

i. long-term preservation of the asset value,
 
ii. Efficient and effective operations of the Ministry teams i.e. "end-user satisfaction"
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Setting up systems and strategies and constantly reviewing them in consultation with the Head of Facilities.
  • Advising the Leadership about the potential impact of their decisions on the provision of space and services.
  • Management of matters concerning Health and Safety including compliance with all statutory requirements.
  • Fire Safety – Have in place a fire safety policy that includes but not limited to fire safety training, drills, provision and maintenance of firefighting equipment and systems as well as Risk assessments.
  • In charge of Maintenance Systems including:
  • Preventative and predictive Maintenance of Physical infrastructure
  • Corrective/Reactive Maintenance of Physical infrastructure
  • Grounds Maintenance and Horticulture
  • Overall In-charge of Security
  • Periodic Testing and Inspection of various systems
  • Other operational elements including waste management and car parking
  • Preparation of Maintenance and Operational budgets
  • Insurance of Physical Infrastructure
  • Statutory Requirements Compliance. E.g Health and Safety requirements, Statutory Licences etc
  • Training of institution Staff on relevant disciplines e.g. Fire drills and evacuation
  • Update and Maintenance of Consultant and Contractor databases
  • Oversight of Caretakers/Campus Facilities Managers
Minimum Requirements
  • A first degree in facilities or property Management or relevant field
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in facilities management.
  • Born Again Christian
  • Commitment to the institution’s Mission and Vision
Salary: Kshs.( 80,000 – 100,000)
