Purpose of the job: In charge of Tax Administration and Corporate Planning Division. 

The Division carries out tax administration and corporate planning functions including tax administration and policy analysis, implementation and monitoring of the Authority’s corporate strategic plans and coordinate the same for other operational or tactical plans. 

The Division makes regular reports and policy recommendations.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist Chief Manager in carrying out planning, research & statistical functions
  • Directing planning, research, tax modeling and statistics functions.
  • Formulation of strategy to guide in developing Corporate / Operational plans
  • Examine and analyze policy statements affecting revenue collection and tax administration.
  • Analyze revenue deficits/surplus between collections and targets and identify their causes.
  • Prepare monthly quarterly and annual revenue reports.
  • Conduct revenue forecast and monitor revenue performance
  • Scan and analyze operating environment affecting revenue performance
  • Disseminate user friendly information to stakeholders.
  • Prepare relevant reports.
  • Any other duties assigned by Chief Manager.
Requirement for Appointment

Personnel Specifications
  • Masters degree in related field from a recognized university
  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics or Business related field
  • Management course
  • Computer Literacy in packages such as SPSS and E-Views
  • 2 years experience at the level of as an Assistant Manager.

  • Ability to plan, develop and implement research and planning projects and
  • present the results
  • Proficiency in the use and interpretation f output of statistical analysis.
  • Have Leadership and managerial competences.
  • Understand KRA’s core business
  • Be customer focused
  • Have personal management and communication skills
  • Must have shown exemplary performance and demonstrated high integrity.
  • Fair understanding of various revenue Acts.
