Nuru Kenya is looking for a highly-qualified candidate to fill the position of Consumer Products Manage, the person shall have an overall responsibility of monitoring and growing Social Enterprise’s consumer products division. 

S/he will be responsible for managing finances, operations and human resources of the consumer products division, s/he will also be responsible for meeting pre-determined financial targets of Nuru Kenya Social Enterprises’ consumer products’ division. 

The person will report directly to the Nuru Kenya Social Enterprise Portfolio Manager

Specific Responsibilities:
  • Manage finances and daily operations of consumer products division
  • Create financial models, forecasts and budgets for NKSE’s consumer products division
  • Conduct regular analysis and audits of NKSE consumer products finances
  • Manage and coach NKSE consumer products team
  • Identifies marketing opportunities by identifying consumer requirements; defining market, competitor's share, and competitor's strengths and weaknesses; forecasting projected business; establishing targeted market share.
  • Improves product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities; improving product packaging; coordinating new product development.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders and suppliers 
  • Provides information and reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends to higher level management.
  • Manage and develop M-pesa products of the consumer products’ division
  • Perform additional roles as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications and competencies:
  • A four (4) year degree in Business Management or any other related course from an accredited Institution.
  • A minimum of four years of sales management experience
  • Experience writing sales plans and tracking activity of sales teams.
  • Proven track record of consistent mentoring and coaching resulting in over-achievement of quotas.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of sales force automation technologies and experience in applying these technologies in sales process solutions.
  • A positive attitude and the ability to stay flexible in a fast paced, changing environment.
  • High energy, impeccable ethics and enthusiasm required
Working Conditions: Work is performed both in an office environment as well as in the field. Some work is also expected from the computer at home during evenings and weekends during busier seasons.
