Vacancy: Marketing Coordinator

Key Responsibilities
 

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will support the execution of approved marketing plans and activities. 

You will:
  • Coordinate the implementation of marketing plans and programs including following up with public relations (PR) and advertising agencies to ensure that assignments, projects and results are delivered in line with expected standards and on time.
  • Coordinate the procurement and distribution of products brochures and other promotional materials by identifying potential suppliers, receiving and looking at samples, receiving quotations and ensuring that all internal approvals and documentation procedures for supplier selection are followed.
  • Responsible for branch marketing activities; communicate marketing plans and activities to the branches, ensure these are implemented as expected, hold monthly meetings with the branches to follow up on progress and provide monthly progress reports.
  • Collect data generated from activities/ events for example feedback on displays, customer queries, opportunities etc. and share these, including any agreed action plans, with relevant in-house teams.
  • Collect data on potential customers and share with the sales team to support prospecting efforts.
  • Compile event planning briefs based on the requirements provided by the Marketing Manager and brief suppliers on the approved plans and expected requirements.
  • Monitor market trends and collect competitor data on products and prices.
  • Update the competitors analysis reports on a weekly basis and share the information with the relevant in-house teams.
  • Compile communication materials for the company’s contact magazine on a monthly basis.
  • Summarise all requests for donations on a weekly basis and submit the report to the Marketing Manager for review.
  • Coordinate production of the monthly in-house newsletter by collecting and compiling information on departmental activities while ensuring that all departments are well represented.
  • Ensure that the website is updated on a monthly basis; follow up with the departments for information on their activities and updated materials
  • Manage the company’s Facebook pages for selected brands).
  • Support the sales team by compiling and preparing presentation materials that best show case the company’s products, effectively represent the corporate brand and adhere to all franchiser marketing/ communication requirements. 
Required Qualifications:
  • A degree in Marketing, Communications, PR, Business or other relevant qualification from a recognised institution.
  • A minimum of two (2) years working experience from motor industry in a marketing position OR experience working in client service with an agency for at least three (3 years).
  • Computer literate
  • Mature and able to work independently
  • Good organisational and analytical skills
  • Must be presentable and able to uphold the company image
  • Must have strong oral, interpersonal and written communications skills
