ECLOF Kenya, an established and fast growing Christian Microfinance company seeks to recruit a Human Resource and Administration Manager.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the individual is responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction to the organization’s human capital to meet the present and future business needs and demands, and is charged with overall general administration duties.

The major roles and responsibilities include:
  • Spearhead the development and implementation of the company’s human capital strategy.
  • Develop, implement and update strategies, policies, systems and procedures within the human resources function in supporting the organizations business strategy.
  • Participate in change management programs/processes to support the company’s strategic direction, and support the building and maintenance of the desired corporate culture.
  • Develop and manage effective, competitive and sustainable staff compensation scheme.
  • Carry out periodic HR Audits
  • Undertake period analysis of human capital issues and submit reports for the Senior Management Team and the Board.
  • Manage the manpower planning process, selection and recruitment of staff.
  • Develop/update, implement and coordinate staff performance management and monitoring system including the staff performance appraisal system and competency building.
  • Manage staff training and development process.
  • Manage employee and industrial relations process.
  • Ensure an effective HR administration process.
  • Manage effective staff communication systems.
  • Develop and maintain an effective staff welfare system.
  • Ensure occupational health and safety of staff.
  • Provide occupational counselling and assistance to staff.
  • Ensure proper insurance cover for all facilities and equipments and any other assets of the company.
  • Ensure adequate security for company assets and facilities.
  • Coordinate the logistical and procurement activities within the company.
  • Oversee repairs and maintenance of all the premises, equipments and other assets of the company.
  • Undertake period analysis of administration issues and submit reports for the Senior Management Team and the Board.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Minimum of a master’s degree in a relevant field such as business, human resource or organization development.
  • At least five (5) years experience hands on experience in human resource management and general administration at senior management level.
  • Post graduate Diploma in human resource management.
  • Should be a member of a recognised professional body - Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) or Institute of Certified Public Secretaries (CPS)
