Nation Media Group, the largest independent media house in East and Central Africa with operations in print, electronics and digital media attracting and serving unparalleled audiences in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda seeks to recruit Graphic Designers for our Advertising and Editorial departments.

Job Ref: HR-GD-04-2014

Key result areas will include:

• Creating inspiring, innovative adverts and page layouts for the print media within set deadlines;
• Interpreting and translating situations and ideas into graphics; managing production of all print work from conception to completion;
• Down loading graphics and co-ordinates from agents servers and sites translating them into usable formats;
• Liaising closely with other graphic sections in the Group for synergies;
• Responsible for the execution and thinking through the creative process for final sign off;
• Keeping abreast with the latest developments in the graphics world and cutting edge knowledge in the print media.

Competencies:

• Good interpersonal skills;
• Strong conceptual skills;
• Customer service oriented.

Skills, knowledge and experience requirements:

• University degree in graphic design;
• Good working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (In design, Photoshop, Illustrator);
• 2 to 3 years working experience;
• Ability to work with minimum supervision and cope with pressure and tight deadlines.
