They intend to bridge the gap between the huge demand for affordable housing against the supply shortage through an innovative solution that will help transform the region’s urban landscape and bring the dream of home ownership to reality for the masses. 

They intend to put up 1,000 homes in the booming satellite town of Athi River. 

They are looking for a talented, self-motivated, passionate and tenacious Sales Manager who can successfully spearhead the sales efforts for the development. 

The jobholder will report directly to the Managing Director.
 

Job Purpose: The Sales Manager will be responsible for meeting sales targets and managing the sales team while safeguarding the reputation of the company by dealing with all stakeholders in an honest and professional manner.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for obtaining profitable results through the sales team by developing the team through motivation, counselling and training for skills development.
  • Managing the sales function, performance reporting, developing processes and systems wherever possible.
  • Delivering weekly, monthly and annual sales targets through sales channels.
  • Developing, nurturing and evolving the sales process to gain competitive advantage.
  • Taking ownership of the customer by capturing and delivering on the customer needs to meet their expectations.
  • Attending weekly sales meetings with the Executive Committee and debriefing them accordingly on the status report progress of the sales function.
  • Working with the marketing team to assist in the development of sales aids and other marketing materials to be used for the sales process.
  • Developing a business plan covering sales, revenue and expense controls and ensuring the targets are met.
  • Developing of the annual and quarterly sales and marketing plan and oversee its successful execution.
  • Monitoring the performance of the sales team by establishing a system of reports and communications.
  • Planning and implementing a specific appraisal system that describes the responsibilities and performance standards for each member of the sales team, set individual targets and commission targets and administer the commission plan.
  • Providing sales performance data to support management decision-making.
  • Liaising with the conveyancing team to ensure that sales are efficiently processed
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business related course.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ sales experience within the construction industry and a proven track record of outperforming sales targets.
  • Experienced on multi-sales process with a keen eye on successfully nurturing and concluding property sales.
  • A proven track record in sales leadership and team building, including performance management.
  • Conversant with the construction industry trends.
  • Substantial experience in a new business sales role and sales management.

Salary Budget: Kshs. 180,000 – 200,000
