IT Sales Executive

Our client is a Nairobi based BPO company that does Website Design, Ecommerce, and Internet Marketing / SEO for clients across the USA and Canada. Its operations in the business spans the last 8 years, mainly concentrating on the offshore market and currently interested in expanding its market base in Kenya.

Job Purpose

The successful candidate will be required to generate new business for a company, retain current business and effectively communicate the services and products of using the various media options.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Professionally and effectively employs sales skills via telephone, face-to-face, social media and written communication to achieve targeted sales.
  • Identify and develop sources of potential clients and new leads
  • Performing follow up duties and managing clients
  • Attending meetings, training sessions and seminars
  • Researching market trends
  • Anticipate, identify and ensure customer needs are being met in the best possible way.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction with surveys, focus groups and comment cards.
  • Exhibit a professional attitude, diplomacy and an ability to handle difficult situations.
  • Be able to match appropriate products to clients’ requirements.
  • Be able to demonstrate a full knowledge of all products, relevant selling points and benefits
  • Maintain a current and accurate knowledge of competitor products, be able to highlight their disadvantages and promote relevant benefits as well as recommend any necessary tactical action
  • Provide time-phased, qualified reports on achievement and activities
Specifications: Experience, skills and Education
  • Business related degree/diploma
  • Telesales and telemarketing experience required.
  • Minimum 1 year sales and account management experience
  • Proven track record of generating new business sales
  • Must demonstrate traits reflecting Customer Excellence and people skills
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in Business Development
