Kenya Kazi Services Ltd (KK Security), a leading international safety & security solutions provider, is looking for Assistant Trainers within our Canine Section, Nairobi.
This position reports to the Chief Trainer - Canine Section.
The successful applicant will be assisting the Chief Trainer in:
- Training the dogs and the handlers, socialization of young dogs, managing maintenance of the kennels and its surroundings.
- Assisting with incident reports.
- Animal welfare and assisting the Kennel master with day to day managing of facilities where required.
This position will report to the Chief Trainer - Canine Section
- To provide theoretical and practical training
- To carry out assessment of Trainees in theoretical and practical areas
- To write reports regarding trainees’ assessment
- To participate in trainees’ recruitment
- To carry out off –site training when necessary
- To carry out deployment of dogs and handlers
- To visit sites for survey purposes
- To carry out supervision and spot checks
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- KCSE – C Plain and above
- Must have at least three years working experience on a similar position.
- Must have gone through Dog Masters and or Dog Handlers, Instructors and Supervision Course
- Must have passion for teaching
- Must have strong leadership skills
- Should have strong interpersonal skills
- Love for animals is a must
- Any dog handling experience will be of added advantage
