East African Gasoil Limited is an Oil Marketing Company operating in the greater lakes region.
We are looking for a qualified, competent candidate to fill in the Position of Human Resource Manager (HRM) in the organisation.
Summary on the Role of the Human Resource Manager
The successful candidate will report to the Managing Director, and will generally undertake:
1. HR policy formulation, implementation and enforcement
2. Labour and industrial relations knowledge and practice
Primary Responsibilities
- Formulation & Coordination of Human Resources Functions, Policies and Procedures
- Ensure Human Resources Management Systems- Appraisals
- Oversee and Guide on staff compensation and Benefits
- Effective recruitment and retention of Human Resources
- Advise on Labour requirements and ensure implementation
- Implement Effective Staff Performance Systems
- Advise management on labour and employee relations
- Ensure staff safety and environmental health requirements
- Enhancement of staff performance through training and development
- Guide on employees career development
Additional Responsibilities
- Ensure security of company assets through risk assessment
- Administrate employees’ medical cover
- Administrate employees’ Provident Scheme
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Degree in Social Sciences, Human Resources or Economics
- Post graduate qualification in Human Resources
- 5 years’ experience in Human Resources management with at least two years in a senior management position
- Good communications skills
- Excellent Knowledge of Labour Laws
- Knowledge of Safety and Health requirements
Working Conditions
- Working conditions are a mix of office and field working requiring mobility and self-coordination.
- Extra hours are a common feature of this position
