Innovative Cleantech East Africa Regional Director Job in Nairobi Kenya (KShs 400K)

Our client , an Innovative Cleantech Company with HQ in the UK is looking to fill the position of a Regional Director based in Nairobi. 

The position requires an individual with a proven technical background within renewable energy and a drive to develop business within the East African region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing business model for the region through training centre and show room, distribution network and direct sales to industry (oil & gas, telecoms, aid & development).
• Driving sales with new potential customers by phone, email and personal visits.
• Training key engineers from client technical teams in the use and maintenance of equipment.
• Building brand awareness.
• Maintaining positive, effective and productive working relationships/communications with existing customers in order to grow business.
• Ensuring company growth via accurate and up to date technical knowledge of company products and demonstrating an understanding of how these apply to new and existing customers.
• Produce and present proposals, presentations, contract documentation and quotations to prospective customers.
• Working closely with internal departments to deliver effective sales strategies.
• Research and keep updated on developments within the EA region, as well as power industries and use this knowledge and understanding to inform business development approach.
• Maintain professional internal and external relationships which meet company core values.

Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of 3 years technical / business development / sales experience.
• Must have a minimum of 3 years in senior management.
• Must have a relevant bachelor’s degree.
• Competency using Microsoft Office and presentation software.
• Possess excellent communication skills conducive to growing profitability, awareness and success of the company.
• Hold a valid driving license.
• Desire to create and develop new business model that works for the EA region.
• Technical knowledge of generators and electrics / Renewable Power Systems.
• Experience using CRM and/or Inflow software.
• Experience operating in the renewable energy sector in Africa.
• Previous experience dealing directly with aid agencies and international development organisations.
• Self-motivated, target driven and dynamic.

Education: Bachelors degree
