Kenya Ferry Services Limited is a State Corporation under the Ministry of Transport & Infrastructure mandated with the Operations of ferries in the country. 

We are seeking, mature, self driven, dynamic experienced professional to join our team and hereby invite applications for the position of Human Resource & Administration Manager.
 
This position reports to the Managing Director and requires an individual of strong personality and ability to work under pressure.
 
The overall responsibility for this position is to ensure appropriate organization of company competencies to drive company business
 
Key Duties:
  • Formulate and review the company’s human resource policies and their implementation
  • Forecast the company’s manpower needs and consolidate user department manpower requirements and plan for acquisition
  • Oversee the competitive recruitment and selection of staff
  • Initiate and recommend the implementation of review terms and conditions of service fo staff
  • Foster harmonious industrial relations, lead and manage the collective bargaining agreement process
  • Manage the company’s retirement and welfare schemes
  • Oversee the training and development needs of staff an ensure employees have relevant competencies
  • Implement and manage the company’s performance management system and ensure all staff are annually appraised
  • Coordinate HIV/AIDS, Alcohol, Drugs and Substance abuse and Gender/Disability mainstreaming activities
  • Handle relevant company insurances
  • Ascertain a conducive working environment for all staff and ensure their health and safety
  • Guide administrative activities and ensure communication systems are effective for the company
Qualifications & Experience
  • Holder of a Relevant Bachelor’s Degree in social sciences from a recognized university; Masters degree desirable
  • Post graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from a recognized institution
  • Member of Institute of Human Resource Management of Kenya (IHRM)
  • A minimum of 10 years working experience at a senior managerial position in Human Resource Department
