Vacancy: Procurement Officer

 
Reports To: Station Director

Role Summary
Managing the relationship between Buffet Properties and its extended suppliers. 

Ensures that the business has adequate stock of all trade and non trade items. 

Confirms that all items are to the correct standard and quality.

Primary Responsibilities

• Receiving of all requisitions from Restaurant Managers for all required items
• Maintenance of price lists from approved suppliers on all Items
• Preparation of purchase orders in accordance with set down company policy and negotiated terms and conditions.
• Seeking the necessary authorization from the  Finance Director for all purchases
• Sourcing for the most affordable vendors and seeking approval on the same
• Receiving of tenders and bids addressed to the Business
• Regularly contacting suppliers to renegotiate prices.

Qualifications

• Must have a diploma in Purchasing & Supplies or equivalent.
• Must have at Least 1 year working experience in a similar role
• Strong negotiation skills
• Must have business acumen
