Our client, in the baby service industry is in need of Creative Multimedia Software Developer.
 

Duty Station: Nairobi
 

Reporting to: Business Development Manager
 

Goal for Creative Multimedia Software Developer Role: To provide attractive channels and networks of knowledge and entertainment with high utility value and ease of use for clients and staff of the Company.
 

Objectives of the Creative Multimedia Software Developer: To source, originate, create, generate, authenticate, protect and avail for use layouts, publications, websites, videos, presentations, tools, systems and programs for knowledge and entertainment in support of the Company’s products and services.

• Level of responsiveness and promptness of service to both clients and staff.
• Effectiveness of the products and services in bringing on board an increasing number of users.

Requirements of the position
 

A clear understanding of:

1. Creative design software and design concepts.
2. Website technologies and emerging trends.
3. Mobile phone apps design.
4. Software engineering skills.
5. Creative multimedia skills.

Expertise in development tools:

1. Joomla
2. Adobe Flash, Adobe After Effects and Cool Edit.
3. WordPress
4. AutoCAD
5. Google Sketchup
6. 3Ds Max
7. Maya

Skills in at least 5 of the following:

1. Website Design and Development.
2. Mobile apps design and development.
3. Video design and development.
4. 3D architectural visualization.
5. 3D product visualization.
6. 3D animation.
7. Live audio/video streaming solutions.
8. Video conferencing and tele-presence.
9. Web interfaces and apps for hand-held devices.
10. Design and development of rich mobile applications, including iOS and Android.

Specific Responsibilities
 

These responsibilities are with respect to web portals, magazines/publications, mobile applications, videos, audios and visualisation.
 

1. Prepare functionality development strategies and to update them annually.
 

2. Provide blue print documentation and regular updates with all programing configurations therein.
 

3. Provide and maintain details of all licences of all programs and images.
 

4. Secure all administrative access codes and passwords of all elements.
 

5. Maintain all technical aspects of platforms, products and services.
 

6. Development of new elements and functionalities of platforms, products and services, including design and preparation of layouts for (magazines, books, marketing materials such as brochures, fliers, advertisements, logos, posters, etc.) for the Company and its clients and associates.
 

7. Redesign of the look and functionalities of the platforms, products and services.
 

8. Day to day technical management of all functionalities of the platforms, products and services, including troubleshooting, debugging, software installations, software configurations, site and data backup and restoration activities.
 

9. Major and minor technical incident handling.
 

10. Customer technical query and complaints support.
 

11. To be available on a 24-hour call basis for any technical emergencies and major technical incident handling.
 

12. To participate in marketing presentations of the platforms, products and services to potential clients.
 

13. To ensure that all technical aspects of the platforms, products and services are at all times in compliance with all local and international copyrights, trademarks, patents, and all intellectual property laws and regulations.
 

14. To diligently protect all copyrights, trademarks, patents, and intellectual property of the Company with respect to its platforms, products and services.
