Our client is one of the leading companies in Kenya that specializes in the manufacturing of personal care, tissues and hygiene products. 

They are market leaders across numerous product categories and have established themselves as one of the strongest consumer household brands in East Africa. 

They seek to hire Brand Manager to manage the company’s brands. 
 
Job Purpose:- The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining, improving, and upholding the company’s brands that translates into positive results. 

The job holder must be an innovator and a creative thinker with a wealth of knowledge in brand management.

Job Purpose:-

  • Develop/implement new product development including design and pricing.
  • Plan and prepare branding budget and deliver marketing activity within agreed budget.
  • Develop individual Brand Marketing Plans and participate in the annual budgeting process
  • Develop/implement new product development including design and pricing.
  • Liaise with media and advertising agencies to popularize brand.
  • Responsible for branding activities in all the product markets.
  • Work with sales and distribution areas to develop brand specific channel strategies that will include maintaining or developing new merchandising programs or options.
  • Lead and/or participate on cross-functional teams in Marketing and Brand Management projects including new product launches.
Qualifications
  •  Must have 3 to 4 years brand/consumer marketing experience.
  •  Must have a minimum of bachelor’s Degree/Masters in marketing or any business related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills and ability to work in a fast paced team environment.
  • Experience applying marketing principles including product design, promotion, pricing, merchandising, advertising, and market research.
  • Exposure to; and knowledge of broadcast media/production, consumer/retailer promotions, budget and agency management, and knowledge of the print production processes.
  • Strong research and analytical skills including ability to budget and provide sound financial analysis, statistical/probability analysis, sales analysis and forecast ability on trends and challenges.
  • Strong organizational skills, strong time management skills and a willingness to listen, think creatively and innovate.
  • Knowledge of several software productivity packages including, Microsoft Office, Projects and Power Point.
  • Should be flexibility and the ability to manage change.
  • Should have knowledge of consumer Segmentation.
