Our client is a company that specializes in operating and managing selected luxuriously furnished and serviced contemporary Penthouses, top floor Duplexes, Townhouses and Cottages in Nairobi’s up market areas. 

Their services including managing furnished home, furnishing on lease, letting, selling properties, and property management. 

They seek to hire a talented and dynamic Marketing Manager to maximise new growth opportunities by identifying, winning, nurturing and growing client accounts.

Job Purpose: The business development manager will provide PR, research, marketing, communications and business development plans and strategies for the company. 

They will be responsible for providing strategic marketing direction and coordination of the team (guidance & team spirit) across the company to meet set goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and carry out direct business development activities so as to maintain and develop sales of the company services to clients and prospective clients (multinationals) in accordance with agreed business plans.
• Promote the brand to generate the best environment and foster new opportunities for increased sales of the company services.
• Identifying and developing unique & specific contracts with different categories of expatriates.
• Identifying and following up on new business opportunities and meeting contracted services in a timely and professional manner.
• To follow up on referrals from current residents, clients and team to develop of new business.
• Producing and presenting well-reasoned and structured sales proposals/documents that deliver profit objectives.
• To use customer insight and market research data to support client development initiatives.
• Ensuring efficient and continuous marketing.
• Carry out market research, competitor and customer surveys as requested.
• Attending to customer feedback and taking continuous improvement action.
• Carry out analysis of market and competitors and preparing monthly reports.
• Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business and organizational development including exhibitions, trade shows and company launches.
• To keep own skills and knowledge up to date, especially in respect of subjects that are directly relevant to the job, e.g. hospitality, real estate, international relations, politics and security matters.
• Manage and visit existing residents to maintain customer satisfaction.
• Promote and motivate the team to meet and achieve the company’s provision of quality services.

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Marketing.
• 3 – 5 years solid experience in business development at management level, those in hotel, real estate or hospitality sector will have an added advantage.  
• Energetic, creative and experienced manager with excellent planning and project management skills;
• Flexible, hard-working and able to work to tight deadlines, manage multiple projects involving multinational corporations.
• Proactive and able to identify and realize innovative opportunities to further the reputation of the business.
• Able to balance the sometimes conflicting needs of stakeholders – multinationals companies and organizations.
• Able and willing to work as a member of a team.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent knowledge of Excel, Word and in particular, PowerPoint.
• Hands on, self motivated and creative individual.
• Outstanding attention to detail.
